Pros: loads of freedom to work, great visibility, amazing work culture, new challenges to deal with everyday, all ideas are valued and respected
Cons: not for people who like a typical corporate structure, you won't have a fixed place to sit, find a place and it is yours for the day, small operations in canada so the merchandise is everywhere as the store is generally full
A typical day would included greeting everyone, shooting a couple of people with nerf guns and checking mails. Having breakfast at someone's desk or the canteen. scheduling meetings and brainstorming on future strategies. some amount of number crunching, making powerpoint decks and feeding information into strategy and client reports. if it's a friday – more... have a quick beer at 4 pm with team or have a nerf gun fight with team on the other days for 15-20 mins. finish off the day's work and head home.
amazing business model and great learning curve. loads of challenges to work on in operations and outreach activities.
super cool management who know how to make you comfortable while working. very dedicated and work hard themselves. know how to have fun... you won't get bored working here ever!
hardest part about work: this is a unique business model so you won't find examples or analogies with other firms to learn from. you create everything u need and if everyone likes it, it becomes the standard. – less
