Administrative Assistant, Oklahoma City, OK - February 26, 2016
My boss was waiting for me in the front door and had something to say before I got to my job placement. During the day she was over me directing me over the computer, (whole day) to do documents that were part of her job. I knew which was my lunch hour but she was waiting for me to say to her if I was leaving to lunch and if I didn't inform her, believe me she turns angry. When I received a phone call from a prospect client she was in front of me listening to what I have to speak with the caller. Horrible, I felt like a high school student. My co-workers were afraid to speak to me, she didn't like people have a courtesy and well being atmosphere at work. When she had to leave the office everybody deep breath. I was the 5th trial, cause before me 4 employees quit the job.
What I learned, well at least I learned to copy a document from one folder to another, to copy paste documents from one document to an updated one. I had the opportunity to show my elevator pitch promoting the programs for the first time.
The most enjoyable part of my job was when I had to assist professors and attendants to the Small Business Training Series, obviously far away from the office.
