Associate Professor, Texarkana, Texas - May 21, 2013
In all my years of higher education, TAMUT was the worst academic institution I have ever been around. Its approach to recruiting students is completely dishonest, bordering on what might be seen as illegal. Its approach to faculty is to run them to death, then kick out the productive ones so the good-ole-boy folks who happen to attend the same church get the paychecks. Their central goal is to keep students in Texarkana. So, they use up students' financial aid eligibility, teach them nothing in their largely unaccredited programs, and drive them out into society where they are barely qualified to get a job at Walmart. If you are run out of here because you don't match the backwater, racist, bible-thumping do-nothings that run the institution, you will be badmouthed and blacklisted because they need an excuse for why you were dismissed. They also will blacklist you throughout your employment to guarantee you cannot escape the vortex. Overall the worst working environment imaginable.
