Texas Creative is one of San Antonio's largest advertising, graphic design and web design/development firms. We are seeking an experienced Front End Web Developer with advanced expertise in javascript (jQuery) and some experience building themes for Drupal websites. The selected candidate would join a team of talented designers and developers who work closely with creative directors and account services to create compelling online properties in a fast-paced environment.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Translate Photoshop design comps and wireframes into HTML5/CSS/Javascript responsive Drupal templates.
  • Theme, test, maintain and troubleshoot Drupal websites, custom web applications (PHP) and scripts (jQuery & Javascript).
  • Evaluate client goals, build Information Architecture sitemaps, and estimate hour counts on prospective projects.
  • Coding, testing, and sending email for various marketing campaigns
  • Perform website analysis of sites based on predefined standards of SEO, design and content strategy.

Required Skills:

  • HTML5, CSS, Javascript, jQuery
  • PHP, MySQL
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
  • Healthy obsession with web standards including Drupal coding standards
  • Understanding of cross browser compatibility issues and their solutions.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse group of people.
  • Communicate technical concepts to clients and other non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skill; manage multiple long-term projects along with often urgent smaller tasks while tracking time accurately against budgeted hours.
  • Ongoing interest in leading edge web development technologies and internet marketing strategies.

  • Experience with TWIG template engine
  • Excellent written communication skills (i.e. blogging)
