Texas Publishing Co., a marketing and news organization, is seeking an Outside Sales Associate to join our team. Sales Associates are responsible for selling advertising in all publications including newsletters, online advertising, special sections, and phonebooks.
Responsibilities Include: Proactively prospecting and qualifying potential new advertising accounts; handling advertising leads; identifying business opportunities and working with decision makers to obtain customer commitment; and achieving weekly revenue targets. Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and conferences.
Ideal candidate will posses 3-5+ years experience in local/retail advertising outside sales. Must have a strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as with a team; and be able to resolve client issues. This is a full-time job where some evenings end at a networking event.
Opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial, fun, and fast-paced environment. The outside sales role offers a base salary, commission and a performance-based bonus. Primary duties include helping clients and prospecting for new business through face-to-face meetings. Successful candidates will be comfortable spending a large portion of time outside of the office and traveling nearby to meet with clients.
