You have the skills, experience, longevity with a job. Then you are discarded like a piece of garbage because a co-worker back stabs you. I have looked and put in so many applications. I have not received one single response. There are a lot of job out there but the on line crap is nothing more than something to keep a HR department busy. The staffing agencies they have these mind test they have you take. This is so a waste of time. So,so many people have a lot of experience and a lot to offer a employer. Then, there is the age issue. They say that they do not judge you but they do. That is a big factor. If you are over the age of 30, then you are not even given an opportunity. So, tell me how to get a reply to job applications, get a interview. You tell me what I am doing wrong. What do all the mind games test have to offer me when all I want to do is provide for my family. Earn a living see my son smile.

What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable?

It appears that the field of mental health and substance abuse is literally dead in Houston, or maybe Houstonians are the most well balanced citizens in the USA. I am a Master Level, licensed therapist, who have tried for the last six months to get an interview for a job in the Houston and surrounding areas. I had one response after only being able to find maybe four or five job announcements in the newspaper and internet job engines. The pay for licensed therapists is also an insult to our hard earned degree, license and experience. Good luck to those in my field attempting to get a job out there.

tax-payers money is being used to "TRY" and
help people get a job.Why is there a "wall"
between the applicant and the employer. You
do not know the salary or the specifics of
the job, employers should not be allowed to
use tax-payers money to screen for employers.
