The Allen Group is conducting a national search for a Manager Nursing, Neurosciences Critical Care located at an Academic University Medical Center in the Midwest.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Critical Care Nurse Manager to work in the Neurosciences department with responsibility for the overall planning, organization, direction and evaluation of patient care operations for the Neurosciences ICU. The Nurse Manager of the Neuro ICU is responsible for managing, guiding, coaching, and evaluating the performance of the patient care staff in the department. The Nurse Manager should have management experience for both patient care and unit operations in a University based, research or teaching hospital environment.
The Nurse Manager role is a vital management position through which the patient-related objectives of the nursing division are organized. The Nurse Manager directs nursing activities and the day-to-day coordination with all other departments which relate directly or indirectly to patient care services, knowledge, and understanding, compliance with the philosophy, objectives, and policies.
Education and Experience:
*Baccalaureate degree in nursing required. Masters in Nursing or related field is desired.
*Current Ohio RN license.
*Clinical experience in acute care setting required; certification as CCRN or CNRN desired with ability to attain with 2 years of hire.
*Prior demonstration of leadership and management skills.
