RUN THE OTHER WAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN
Sweat Shop Servant II (Former Employee), Mason, OHJuly 9, 2013
Pros: co-workers are great
Cons: nearly everything - pay, "benefits", work conditions
Pathetic sweat shop who's only purpose is to fill a short term need and throw the person away. Turnover is absolutely astonishing and the overhead is absolutely mind boggling. The HR staff treats the factory workers like servants. The owner is a bottom feeder who buys nearly bankrupt companies and tries to turn them around. It rarely works. Don't be – more... fooled by the number of openings that they call "growth". It's just a churning of employees who either quit or get fired. The turnover has to be around 50%. The positive comments by current employees are the HR staff trying to pump up the stats. All the HR department does is meet your previous compensation. If you bump up your previous compensation you run the risk of pricing yourself out of a job. They only care about the bottom line. Benefits are so bad, I stayed on my spouse's plan. I never stopped looking for another job even after I was hired. Thankfully another one eventually came through and got me out of there. – less

Great employees, terrible leadership
Corporate Slave (Former Employee), Mason, ohMarch 13, 2013
Pros: fast paced, diverse, pay
Cons: leadership, political, little advancement
I worked with Armor for 3 years. Started off very excited with the opportunity but within 6 months great concerns started to present themselves concerning the CEO. The company often focused on acquisitions and growth but provided little to no support in growing the acquired businesses. By the third year, I dreaded going in everyday and felt very defeated – more... in achieving my goals in the position. If you are just looking for a job, then go, if you're looking for a career, look elsewhere. Just my two cents. – less

The Best Career Opportunity Yet
Professional (Current Employee), Mason, OHJanuary 28, 2013
I've worked with The Armor Group since July 2012 and it is by far the best career opportunity I've had yet. It is a fast paced environment due to the company's growth, and every day provides new challenges and situations to learn from and to grow professionally. Because many conditions are unchartered, employees have the opportunity to present their – more... ideas and to be part of the solution. Employees are encouraged to dicuss their thoughts with management and their input is taken into consideration. I would recommend The Armor Group for anyone who is looking for an exciting fast-paced career working with other ambitious individuals and who is committed to leaving an impact on the company for which they work. – less

Great place to work - focused on building a culture of respect, value, and collaboration among employees.
Contractor (Current Employee), Mason, OHOctober 24, 2012
Pros: honesty, integrity, professional excellence, promote from within
Guiding principles are embraced and demonstrated each day. No hidden agendas – everyone has been willing to help with whatever needed. Great benefits, vacation plan, and a 401k that is effective day 1 of employment.

Not a good place to work.
Not Important (Current Employee), Mason, OhioSeptember 14, 2012
Pros: not very many.. you get good friday off
Cons: everything mostly
Can't get anything done without the CFO holding your had. Might as well being him into the bathroom with you to help you with that to. He doesn't trust anyone to do the job that they were hired on to do. Employee's attitudes around throughout the ENTIRE company it just AWFUL because of the lack everything. EVERYONE works the but off every week and there – more... isn't anything to show for it. Lets just get the point here. Executive team here WILL NOT TRUST YOU unless you "Player" aka a friend of one of theirs so you can hang out with each other on weekends. We 9 times out of 10 set up a vendor on NET 45 pay terms, we can't even meet that we have credit hold issues because we can't pay our bills. I could go on and on but i won't. So basically if you want to be treated bad in the work place then this is the place for you!! Also just ask anyone that works here what the turnover rate is. Its huge because once someone is here for a few months they start to see the real thing and start looking for a new job. – less

Armoremployee – October 23, 2012

Armor is growing a lot and lots of new people coming on board. Company seems to want to improve and seems committed to bringing good people on and listening to new ideas. I like working here and I don't feel like an outsider just because I'm new.
