Behavior Coach, Peoria AZ - January 15, 2015
I love working at The ACES! The school has a wonderful mission and vision and it is super rewarding to be a part of it! My job as a behavioral coach is to mentored and supervise students with special needs such as autism, emotional disabilities, and intellectual disabilities that also have behavioral challenges, and support them in any way that I can. Lots of training is offered by The ACES administration in how to help the students in positive ways. The ACES has small class sizes and a high ratio of staff to students, with at least 3 trained adults in every classroom so each staff member is a part of a large team of professionals that are dedicated to helping these students succeed. I have been able to see many students successfully transition back to their home school district after learning coping skills and proper anger management techniques here at The ACES. Some of the students started at The ACES with very extreme behavioral problems due to their disabilities but in less than a year were able to change and become totally different students - safe, happy, excited to learn, motivated to succeed. I have witnessed students make 3 to 4 years worth of academic growth in 1 school year. Best job ever!
