Company expectations are unrealistic. It's too much information being delivered that the company structure is falling short. Management lacks moral support, their team playing roles are inconsistent.

A typical day at work includes greeting and assisting customers, operating the cash register, straightening and cleaning the store, unloading and processing new shipment. I like the job and the work. Needs more room to grow. Overall great place to work.

Its pretty fun working at the childrens place BUT the district manager keeps cutting our hours, so us who have things to pay for dont make enough.

The district manager did not treat others well, this was reflected through the management as well. I was here on an as needed basis and woked once every 3 months, but I was expected to know when special events would come up. I saw A LOT of people come and go during my time here. There was a major lack of organization and communication.

Working for this has provide a productive fun working environment, the management team is excellent. Once a month the management team rewards its employee's with lunch and gifts.

its a good place to work for starter. great discount specially for employee with kids.

YOU WILL NOT GET ANY HOURS. THIS JOB IS NOT EVEN GOOD ENOUGH TO EXTRA INCOME. SOMETIMES YOU ONLY GET FOUR HOURS OR EIGHT HOURS PER WEEK. SUCKS!!!!!ADVANCEMENT TAKES A WHILE ALSON.

The staff were nice. They have a lot of little rules to follow.

Fun work place. I like children so i liked working with children's clothes. I dressed fake models and selected different pieces of clothing to put an outfit together. I enjoyed the work.

Atmosphere makes it easy to get to know your customers and staff really well. Enjoyed coming to work everyday.

Typical day would be counting out registers before opening, making sure the whole store is clean, getting merchandise from stock room to process between cashiering and helping customers. I learned how to work in a fast pace and demanding environment while providing great customer service. At the time mostly out of high school like me so we all took the job seriously to prepare us for the work world. I felt like it was an enjoyable place to work at whenever I got to actually be on the schedule. I understand it was seasonal work, but I feel they did some over-hiring for seasonal. They hired 15+ people just for seasonal work at a small store on top of their regular staff. They were forced to cut back a lot of hours to where only 2 people can work – more...  per day. Hated it. Low pay for so much work. No room for growth and no full time associates

This was my first job. The enviroment was nice and the coworkers. Learned a lot about retail that I didn't know before. Enjoyed customer service on each of my jobs. Learned a lot about how to deal more with people. There was no place of advancement and no good career path.

The current store manager (2012) is highly unorganized and does not show leadership qualities. It is a challenging place to work because of this.

Working with many different management in a short period of time was very frustrating. Due to every manager was trained different ways instead of one right way. I could say, once they had DMs and management in the right areas, the company had great training programs.

Everyday we learn about a new sale promotion or a upcoming promotion. We are also inform about company changes.
