Fun, Challenging, and Growth Opportunities Companywide
Recruiter (Current Employee), Dayton, OHFebruary 25, 2014
Pros: free lunches, snacks, team activities, growth opportunities, rewards
Cons: long hours, can be stressful
A typical day at The Connor Group is full of fun, laughter, stress, deadlines, and fast paced situations. I have learned to think quick on my feet and that organization and time management are keys to be successful within any position here. The Connor Group is full of talented, amazing people who truly believe that people count and they are willing – more... to work hard to make the company successful. The hardest part of the job is the pressure to succeed and prove yourself worthy to be part of The Connor Group team. The most enjoyable parts are the friendships I have made and the joy I feel when I put forth effort and it is recognized. – less

Productive
Turn/Maintenance Tech (Current Employee), Stockbridge GAFebruary 7, 2014
Pros: they offer classes to gain more experience
Cons: the other properties they have are far from where i live and work now
I love the job I do as a Turn/Maintenance Tech. My day can get very busy, in fact most of the time there are always other things to do even when your job is complete for the day. The hardest part of my job is getting my supply equipment around without a vehicle. The most enjoyable part of my job is the experience and knowledge I gain in learning HVAC – more... units, plumbing, and electric. My employee staff is excellent. I love working with/and for them. They are team players and always comes up with great ideas for the company. – less

Big Results = Big Rewards
Vice President / Partner (Current Employee), Centerville, OHJanuary 27, 2014
Pros: reward and recognition, partnership potential, promotions within
Cons: not an easy 9-5 job that you can just coast through. requires true dedication to succeed.
Hours 9-5 Monday through Friday
Just show up and collect a paycheck
Huge rewards with little effort
Only have to worry about yourself

Yeah..... Not here.

The Connor Group requires the absolute best out of people. Hard work, dedication, thinking outside the box, positive attitude, and never say "Can't"...

Core Values:
-Do the right thing..... Pretty – more... simple
-People Count ....... Both internal and external.
-Live the Circle of Success.... Clear expectations, Measure, Individual Accountability, Reward and Recognition / Consequences
-Long-term trumps short term...... Make decisions based on what is best for the company long term not what is easy and gets a short term solution.
-Relentless pursuit of excellence..... Nothing is ever "good enough". Everyone strives to be the best of the best. Do the "IMPOSSIBLE".

Is by far the most challenging position I've ever had but the benefits, rewards, recognition, promotions, partnership, etc... make every day you come to work worth it. – less

Pros: excellent benefits, great co-workers, clear goals
Cons: there are some stressful seasons in my particular position
The Connor Group is not just a job, but a place where you can build a career. The company really focuses on developing and investing in associates. The Connor Group offers great benefits and a work environment that fosters associate growth across job categories. I also have wonderful co-workers who have been helpful to me for guidance and assistance – more... with many tasks from the start, and I like the team work and camaraderie that has developed from working with others. Play THEIR game, you'll go far... Don't, & you're out
Anonymous (Current Employee), AnonymousOctober 24, 2013
Pros: compensation, benefits
Cons: manage by fear, lack of trust
If you love cliques and NEVER doing the right thing, you'll love this company. Great compensation and benefits if you're around to see them. Very high turnover. Don't leave your current job unless you have money to fallback on. One day you're in, the next you're out. No HR. Be careful what you say and who you say it to. Be fearful each day could be – more... your last. People have been fired with no real/valid reason and within months of being recruited from current jobs. But if you know how the devil plays, then you'll know how to treat the situation accordingly. Good luck! – less

No Team work
Profit Center Manager (Former Employee), Atlanta, GASeptember 23, 2013
Working for this company is like competing with everyone you work with. They put employees against each other by fostering competition rather than team building. Managers, and sales persons are treated equally and are not valued. Very few employees last 1 yr. You are expected to work 7 days a week to achieve your goals with little support. Innovative – more... thinking to solve problems is frowned upon. – less

i enjoyed working for a bunch of con-artists and liars.
lead tech (Former Employee), decatur and atlanta ga.September 9, 2013
Pros: quick hire room for growth
Cons: u have to learn to con, lie, and kiss butt to grow within company
at first i thought it was a great opportunity with a lot of room for growth. the 2 glaring things that disturbed me was the way the con people out of every penny they can including employees, and how the employees and managers are a bunch of cliques. depending on wich clique your in will determine your growth. they urge u to lie to residents and con – more... your way thru your job. i was a lead tech for this company for 1 year. i learned a whole lot and it wasnt all bad. i won awards and was recognized but u have 2 lie , con, and kiss butt to survive in this company and i choose not to – less

Amazing job with tons of opportunity to advance and grow!!
Sales Manager (Current Employee), Irving, TXJune 19, 2013
Pros: amazing growth and opportunity! lost of rewards and recognition!
Cons: this is not a job for just an average performer!
I've been working with The Connor Group for 5 years and love it!! I say working with because I do not feel like I work for them I feel like we all work together as a team and I love it!

If you know the right people, you're in like Flynn
Office Staff (Former Employee), Centerville, OHJune 1, 2013
This place is all cliques. If you know the right people, or get in good with them, you're golden. If you don't kiss the appropriate amount of backside, or happen to have a little self respect and want to be treated like a skilled and talented individual (That they claimed you were when they hired you!), you might not do so well.

Bottom line - management – more... expects to be put upon pedastals and be respected, but they think they can treat everyone below them like garbage. Being barked at like a dog was a frequent occurance - yet the office dogs were spoken to better sometimes.

The core values and beliefs that are espoused are great, but they were not evenly and equitably applied. Below a certain position people are treated as disposable and easily replaced. – less

A challenging and reward experience!
Expense Control Specialist (Current Employee), Centerville, OHMay 19, 2013
Pros: the reward & recognition program, which recognizes hard work and dedication with a twic-a-year awards ceremony, and special things like gift cards, cds and other great rewards.
Cons: the hours are sometimes long.
I have been with The Connor Group for more than 10 years. My job has been a wonderful learning experience – at times challenging (I do love a challenge) and always rewarding. My associates go out of their way to let me know how much they appreciate what I do for them. It’s nice to be recognized! I have met a lot of amazing people, each with their own – more... unique talents. Together, we make a great team. As I look to the future, I see a stable and secure work environment with more rewarding challenges ahead. I plan on retiring from The Connor Group. – less
