Very productive stayed busy
Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) –  Irving, TXMay 25, 2017
A typical day basically clocking in getting all PPO Equipment in place and go from there. I basically had a normal rountine tht kept me busy but at a pace to where I don't finish my wrk too fast. Ive learned a lot as far as labeling numbers finding the product all wit the rf scanner gun. When its hot its hot when its cold its cold. It wasn't really too much hard about tht job at all just my opnion. The most enjoyable part of the job would be the customers. If you took care of them they tipped you and took care of u as well.
Pros

My Favorite Job
Sales Trainer/Associate (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAMay 9, 2017
I worked three days a week. I was a part time employee making full time pay. I was self managed, and given the tools to be successful, most times. It is a very competive culture.

Great part job with opportunity for full time income
Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAFebruary 8, 2017
Only work Fri-Sun except for the rare extra days for major holidays. Great work life balance. The company as a whole does not have the best structure. The Dump has a lot to learn with a lot more room to grow. Upper management makes questionable decisions that only seem to benefit the company and not the elmployees.
Pros
4 days off, pay, lots of high end furniture to sale, lots of customers
Cons
long hours, ads that bring in cheap customers

no set hours average 12 per day, no useable shop, low pay little help
Furniture Technician (Former Employee) –  Langhorne, PAOctober 11, 2016
All depts are short staffed. The pay is $2-$10/hr under the industry standard for every position. There is a gloomy attitude among all that are employed at their distribution venter(langhorne) They expect more and more from less people severely cut many positions in last few years leaving the dedicated overworked. All other jobs pay more . Mistakes are not an acceptable practice for this company we've lost a great deal of talent because of the poor conditions of the work environment. There are a few that will keep the positive attitude his name is Ben.There is a high turn over rate and no structure. Its a bare shop for techs that's why it's empty. All other dump states have shops with spray booths and materials. Langhorne has the scraps so if your good at rigging stuff you might scrounge up the right stuff to fix what needs to be. Ej & Randi (owners) They are amazing people they have no clue how bad the Philly area is neglected by all the mistakes the HR dept located in VA makes.
Pros
have off during week, no gym membership needed
Cons
HR dept is 4 states away, have a PPH, low pay, alot of responsibilities, several job titles to each person, no set hours its until jobs done

has too many salespeople which lowers your percentage of closing sales. management does help with problem solving to some extent, but most time problems are left to sales person to resolve.

if you can walk long distances or better yet run or want to this is the pace for you.
management is great but there's always one bad apple... of course. He's just got more to prove because he's short!
it's somewhat difficult to figure out just about everything but, it's fast paced and the people who work there are wonderful.
turn over is rapid and if the short old guy doesn't like you, he writes you up over and over even though everyone has problems and make the same mistakes. I've seen that happen through the year many times over.
hours are fun but, eat an energy bar!!
Pros
fast paced
Cons
short old guy

NIce job Pay could be better
Assistant Office Manager (Former Employee) –  Oaks, PAMay 23, 2014
My time here wasn't all that bad for the most part. Work was mainly over the weekend for the sales with a day or two during the regular work week to fix the show room floor and prep for the upcoming weekend. Most of the Managers there are workers who were promoted. Working over the weekend was a bit dull spending the nights there trying to get teh cash to balance out.
Pros
you could promote
Cons
working over the weekend and the pay could be better
