This company has a great idea. The clients we serve are people with both mental and physical disability. We teach them job ready skills , how to properly communicate, how to read, write, safety and emergency skills, etc. It can be extremely stressful at times but the people we work with are loving, affectionate and trusting. You are able to build strong relationship with these people and it is a beautiful thing. Teaching them to work independently has great rewards, especially when you see how far they've come along with your help. However management is extremely unprofessional and can be belittling and abusive towards both clients and employees. Reports were made by different employees in different departments to upper management but nothing but threats were made towards the reporter, so nothing was ever resolved. The higher in management you went, the more unprofessional and abusive it got. They just need to clean house with fresh people and stop sweeping things under the rug. Also the pay is really low and they have gone without pay raises for over 8 years. Also no room for advancement. The only time we get some professionalism and kindness is when there is a tour or inspection in the building.
