The Company’s product groups include confectionery and snack products, gum and mint refreshment products, and food and beverage enhancers, such as baking ingredients, toppings and beverages. The Company has five geographic regions operating segments: United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and other international locations (Japan, Korea, the Philippines, India and China). In May 2007, the Company entered into an agreement with Godrej Beverages and Foods, Ltd., India, to manufacture and distribute confectionery products, snacks and beverages across India. In May 2007, the Company and Lotte Confectionery Co., LTD., China, entered into a manufacturing agreement, which provide production of Hershey products and certain Lotte products in China.
