Positions Available: PASTRY COOK Full Time Position. 2-4 years of experience in pastry required.

This position is responsible for the production of all pastry and dessert items for the Hotel. The Pastry Cook prepares all types of breads, pastries, and other desserts. This position is also responsible for maintaining a sanitary work area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Complies with all portion sizes, recipes, quality standards, departmental rules, policies and procedures.
2. Prepares and bakes bread, pastries, and other desserts.
3. Selects and uses knives, hand tools, utensils and equipment to decorate, weigh, measure.
4. Maintains holding temperature, bakes, cooks, whips, refrigerates, folds, grates, pipes or coats items.
5. Produces food in the pastry kitchen.
6. Maintains a sanitary work area to ensure food safety.
7. Converts and adjusts recipes to prepare varying quantities of breads, pastries, and other desserts.
8. Operates kitchen equipment including ovens and electric mixers.
9. Cleans and cares for equipment and assigned areas.
10. Assist with ordering supplies.
11. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be positive, creative and a team player, Have the ability to work in a fast pace environment.
