I loved working for The McGuire group, at Harris Hill Nursing Facility.
That was 3 years before I quit.
Those last 3 years were a steady decline. When I started, the place was strict, and standards were much higher. Employees would be reprimanded and rewarded appropriately. Of course there were things that could be done better, but it was alright, stable.
When I left, the facility was falling apart. Maintenance became useless, they existed solely to dispose of broken equipment. Every department was short staffed every single shift, poisonous employees were unfirable. The building administrator was unconcerned, and the HR director was in denial. It was in a negative spiral, and I didn't want to see the department I had served loyally fall further.
