Not a Good Company
Representative (Former Employee), Hoover, alabama – April 29, 2013
Pros: you will learn alot doing different facilities
Cons: stay out of gossip and management way
Gossip is all around the office, Management is awful, if you not part of a click with the management the you won't make it for long. Human Resource is Awful she stays in her office will not come out, you can't confided to her she will tell the director Other employee can lie on you and HR will not investigate but will reprimand you over lies. Director – more... is AWFUL, she doesn't know her job but will talk and treat you like a child she never had. MICRO MANAGEMENT THAT'S WHAT THE DIRECTOR WANTS THE MANAGEMENT TO DO. Director picks on the clothes you wear and doesn't approve of. OVER ALL THEY HAVE A HIGH TURNOVER RATE AND VIOLATE HIPPA!! – less

Pt. Benefit Advisor (Former Employee), Casselberry, FL – April 1, 2013
Pros: working hours - m-f 8-5 pm.
Cons: have very short breaks, only 10 min, and required to key out and in. if earlier by 1 minute, you are written up.
The local management had harassed me, indifferently treatment,
micro management. Inexperienced managers and supervisors, felt threatened with employees, who are very knowledgeable and well experienced.

Client Representative/clerical assistant (Current Employee), Earth City, MO – February 10, 2013
Fellow employees are friendly and easy to work with, learning is something that I prefer to continue at all times. New challenges are welcomed, the ability to enhance my position by being a multitasking individual creates the effect of 'always something new'.

Deceitful/gossip
Manager (Former Employee), Corona, Ca – February 4, 2013
Pros: good pay
Cons: no care of staff. no building up of staff
In my time I found that it was so easy for Corporate to lie to Management Team. Also everyone had some type of objective to gossip and create issues in the office. Management does not last and anyone can do that job until their incompetence is brought to Corporate. Average life of Management is less than two years in this office.

A FUN WORK ENVIRONMENT NOT MANY RULES
Client Representative (Former Employee), Hoover, AL – December 31, 2012
Pros: flexibility
Cons: high health benefits
I enjoyed my work but not a stable company to work for. Company played many games with the opportunity to gain incentives and prizes. I liked majority of my co-workers but there were too many clicks in the office.

Client Service Representative (Former Employee), Charlotte, NC – December 11, 2012
Pros: wonderful company, i loved being a csr
Cons: organizational skills within management
A TYPICAL DAY WOULD BE CUSTOMER CARE, I LEARNED TWO DIFFERENT MEDICAL SYSTEMS WHICH IS A PLUS, BUT MANAGEMENT SWITCHED ENTIRELY TO MUCH IN MY TIME THERE. MY CO-WORKERS WERE THE BEST. VERY HELPFUL, AND FUN TO BE AROUND. THE HARDEST PART OF MY JOB WAS LEARNING FROM THE MANAGERS, ALOT OF THEM HAD NO CLUE ABOUT THE DIFFERENT SYSTEMS. THE MOST ENJOYABLE – more... PART WAS CLEARING PATIENT/ INSURANCE ACCOUNTS AND SPEAKING WITH THE CUSTOMERS FOR THE MOST PART THEY WERE NICE. – less

High Volume Productive Work Environment
Client Management Representative (Current Employee), Corona, CA – November 26, 2012
Pros: room for advancement, competitive pay for collectors
Cons: expensive healthcare coverage, competitive pay only for revenue generating empolyees
The Outsource Group is a terrific place to work, especially to gain skills, and fine tune your abilities. It is a quiet, productive working environment that allows you to work independently, while still being part of a team. It is great for those who are starting at the bottom and are ready and willing to advance in time.

During my 3 years working – more... here, I learned how to excell in various aspects of the customer service field. Most of this knowledge was learning by dealing with sometimes difficult consumers, regarding sometimes difficult situations.

I became proficient in my understanding of both FDCPA guidelines and the HIPAA laws. I am able to use my knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and also the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act when assisting clients, consumers, and also my fellow colleagues. My knowledge even comes into play in my personal life from time to time, I find myself giving counsel to friends and family when needed.

My fellow employees were always a treat to work with. Each team I worked with was a pleasure because they all are very tight knit and always were willing to help each other to learn and grow. The same can be said for the management staff.

The most difficult part of work for The Outsource Group, for me personally, was being a bad debt collector. This location of the company deals primarily in debt collection for major medical, hospital and physician bills. It takes a strong skill set to collect on extremely outstanding medical bills, in a delicate fashion. I was able to excell in this department, but for me, it did provide the greatest challenges.

The most enjoyable part of working at The Outsource Group was hands down, my colleagues. I really enjoyed each and everyone of them. We spent a lot of time together inside and outside of work, and we all came to know each others families through the years we have all worked together. The comradery found here, especially in my most recent department, Client Managment Relations, is hard to rival for most companies. – less

A Great Work Place
Patient Benefits Advisor (Former Employee), Orangeburg, SC – October 17, 2012
A day at work was very informative. I met new people on a daily basis and I was delighted to help anyone I could when I had a chance. I learned a lot of information on how to process medicade application and disability application. I enjoyed working with my co-workers. We all got along well. I really didn't have anything hard about my job. It was just – more... a lot of information to obtain. The most enjoyable part of my job was when I was able to help someone. – less

Receivables Specialist (Current Employee), Earth City, MO – October 11, 2012
Good money, poor organization. There are a lot of perks, definite job security. Sometimes there are issues with management that they refuse to identify or acknowledge.

It's a job
Collector (Current Employee), Columbia, MO – October 1, 2012
Pros: snack machine, handicapped bathroom
Cons: turnover, lack of values, lack of communication, unrealistic goals
During the course of employment with TOG I have became aware of things that have made me lose faith and trust in this company. Columbia has always been the "flagship" office for TOG, yet has been losing clients due to poor communication. One of our largest and oldest clients asked our insurance team to handle accounts at day 1 until they could redolve – more... some issues. What does the Director say? "Get as much fees as we can, while we can out of these people". Lots of payments we honestly had no reason to bill fees for, but did. Hence why they are no longer using us.

I have seen 5 Directors of Operations come and go (even times with out one) Management says collections is "self sufficient".

We work towards a goal and what we go over goal we get 30% of towards commission. Which is great. But... You have the "Collector" who has been here for 25 years who in all actuality is a Client Manager who poses as a Collector. She is the only one who maxes out every month. I find this due to her contacts with clients who tell her to write up payments. A manager once told me she is technically on the books as a Team Lead to justify her enormous salary. She has never cared about anyone but herself and it makes me sick she is considered a Collector when in fact she is not. She should be in her place, not held to the same goal as someone who just started.

HR is disconnected and seemingly never in the office. All you get is emails about 6 flags tickets and your yearly Hippa and fdcpa test. They seem to be puppets for corporate and not out to help employees at all. I've taken complaints into the hr office only to be discredited and said "we've already heard about this". When I didn't get a promotion is was told "he is not married, therefore more flexible" (after working 45 hours a week for over a year at whatever hours I was needed). Then I was told "you are a top producer and can't take you off the phones". How can I better my chances for a promotion? Get a divorce? Sandbag my performance? When asked the questions they said I have a bad attitude.

I sit behind a guy who surfs web all day and I have even seen him doing online classes! He rarely gets payment, has a good attitude or hits his production goals, yet gets a larger commission than me!

When the director of ops tells the office in a meeting to break TCPA and Fdcpa knowingly, saying "the benefits will out weigh the lawsuits" is not trust inspiring. Yet the same guy tells me to treat the patients firm but fair. After telling me to stomp on their rights.

All in all. It's been a great experience and have learned a lot. I have put up with these issues Hoping someday SOMEONE will see the way we are being treated and correct this gross mistreatment. I have faith in the company and it's beliefs. I feel TOG has a lot of potential and just need to find better ways to communicate. – less
