Great way to see crummy parts of the world on the company dime
Engineer (Former Employee) – USA – November 13, 2017
This is worst ran company I have ever worked for. Their management philosophy is “do as I say, not as I do”. Absolutely no morals or ethics. All they are concerned with is getting a down payment to get off credit hold with their vendors to be able to get started on the next big project. Which will be late because of credit issue. It’s just a repetitive cycle. And what sort of personal kickbacks they can get from the vendors for placing huge orders.
They never learn anything from their mistakes, they keep making the same design mistakes over and over. All they do is copy/paste from one project to the next. Then they have to spend tens of thousands of dollars to air freight heavy parts around the world to re engineer in the field. No wonder they have no profits, no raises and low morale. Next project...same thing.
On the plus side, you do get to travel to far away places that you would never have the desire to visit. They send you for a “2 week startup” then after after 6 weeks you finally get to come home after threatening to quit.
It’s a job if you don’t already have one.
