Divisional Resource Development Director

The Salvation Army has an outstanding career opportunity in our Maryland and West Virginia Division for a highly successful Major Gifts professional to expand their skills and grow with one of the oldest and most successful development programs in the United States.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Five years successful Major Gift fund-raising experience
  • Successful experience leading a team of professionals
  • Prior experience with a donor management system
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Track record of achieving goals
  • Knowledge of donor records management and administration as well as data and trend analysis

This position will lead, train and mentor a team of professionals to raise funds to enable the Mission of The Salvation Army in Maryland and West Virginia; with offices located in Baltimore, MD. The candidate will aggressively develop and nurture current and prospective donors including individuals, foundations and corporations in the assigned geographic region; respond to inquiries and communicate with donors, advisory organization members, Salvation Army staff, and Officers. The candidate will be responsible for training, mentoring and accountability of a team of professionals, and, completing and implementing a plan for an assigned portfolio of donors. There is required day and overnight travel up to 60% of the time, typically in Maryland and West Virginia. The selected candidate will office in Baltimore, MD.
