While in training the company is presented as a fantasy land, where all employees have never experienced a day when they woke up and were not excited about going to work. After working here for less than a week, it becomes painfully apparent that the portrayal was indeed a fantasy. Most employees are overworked and disgruntled, due to drastic pay cuts
– more... and changes in the corporate culture. Although the pay is much higher than average in this area, the workload in the position that i am in is far too heavy for the amount that i am paid. The management is comprised of uneducated and poorly trained staff. Department heads and some directors do not even have college degrees. Promotions are made based on the "Good Ole Boy" system, not what u know, but who you know. All members of management are basically of the blonde hair, blue eyed persuasion or some slight variation thereof. There are, however, some Hispanics that have key positions, but not many opportunities for real advancement exist for black people. Job security is nearly nonexistent and recently layoffs have become the norm. Many employees are leaving to pursue more stable opportunities, so there will be openings here, but do not get too comfortable bc it may not last. – less
