Respectful, flexible, professional place to work.
LEAD TECHNICAL WRITER/INSTRUCTOR/CONTENT DEVELOPER (Former Employee), Moline, IL –
Pros: professionals, flex-time
Cons: permanent personnel working short-term
A typical day was busy collecting new and already established OMM manuals information.

I learned it is possible to streamline job processes, improve product quality and speed, provide timelines and earn respect from other professionals.

Management treated us as professionals and tried to let us handle the technical side of things and respected the – more...  time voiced/necessary to get projects done. It would be helpful to keep long-term permanent employees busy when a project ends (job pre-planning or cross-training etc).

Coworkers were all strong, capable professional type people.

The hardest part of the job was that it could be frustrating getting technical data from engineering and others.

Up front time was spent as needed to create an efficient process. The enjoyable part would be following a process and then adding some daily fact-finding making the work enjoyable. Flex-time was also very nice. – less

Warehouse Lead (Former Employee), Portage, IN –
Pros: holiday dinner and raises
i would say a typical day would be making sure you and the safety of others was first priorities.it was a constant movement of unloading trucks daily.i learned a lot about scanning in the merchandise that comes off the truck.i was a warehouse lead of the off-load of the trucks and it was a good experience to be able to teach safety to unload trucks – more...  and also stacking the boxes on the pallets.the hardest part of the job i would say was to not be able to do it in a little bit quicker in such a manner that it still would be safe.it was more like the pace of the job will allow you to do for there rules and regulations.but i loved it. – less

A good way to show what you can do.
Various labor on a temporary basis (Former Employee), Dubuque. Iowa –
Pros: good way to see if you want to work there.
Cons: low pay
Well the problem with temp service is your not making the full wage that you should be getting. On the other hand its a good way to show employers what you can do with no risk too them.

I did not like working at Coleman. I only worked there long enough to find another job. It was hot and the breaks were only 10 min. long all of them including lunch.

Work could change at any time, he odds of being hired on full time permanently was almost nonexistant, but you could at least find work long enough to pay the bills for a few months.

Assembly (Former Employee), Andrew is in Joliet Il. Sedona Frankfort –
Pros: great company.
Very helpful, friendly. I worked at Andrew Corp through Sedona. An awesome company. I started in connector assembly and was hired in to their seam weld dept. In both department I learned several skills, as well as utilized skills from U.G.N. The work environment was great. I (in assembly) would work 8 to 10 hours a day assembling connectors for wireless – more...  communications. On the seam weld line I operated the entire line. – less

Productive and friendly work place
temporary assignment (Former Employee), Moline, IL –
Pros: productive office, friendly staff
Cons: not enough parking space
I received on-site training by friendly co-workers. Within (2) days, I was handling the phone and data entry with ease. My supervisors and co-workers were very friendly and fun to work with. I really enjoyed this 3-month temporary assignment. I would definitely accept another assignment with Sedona. The staff at Sedona contacted me on a regular basis – more...  to make sure I was comfortable with the job assignment. – less
