Organization Background:
The Soldiers Project provides free, unlimited, confidential psychological services to military service members and veterans who have served or who expect to serve in the Iraq and/or Afghanistan conflicts, as well as to their loved ones. We see active duty members and veterans across all branches of the military.

Responsibilities:
*In conjunction with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, the Director has the overall responsibility for designing and carrying out a comprehensive fund development program aimed at identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding prospects and donors for major gifts to support priority areas within The Soldiers Project.
*Works in a collegial and supportive manner with donors and community groups to maximize their giving to any or all areas of The Soldiers Project.
*Writes and/or supervises the writing of proposals, supporting documents, and other correspondence related to development.
*Works with volunteers and community members; helps in cultivation events and conducts other activities as assigned.
*The Director develops, executes, and manages effective marketing programs to promote The Soldiers Project to both general and target audiences, with a primary goal to enhance the organizations brand to help raise resources.
*Leads strategic marketing efforts to key stakeholders, including donors, by developing goals, timelines, and budgets for promotional campaigns, managing the development of creative materials, managing the distribution of print and online publications.
*Participates in seminars; attends meetings.
*Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree in a job-related field from an accredited four-year college or university. Will consider the equivalent to five years of progressively responsible professional/fundraising marketing experience in a nonprofit organization.
*Masters degree in a job-related field preferred, but not required.

Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities:
*Demonstrated success in cultivation and closure of major gifts and/or high-level annual gifts from individuals and/or corporations.
*Knowledge and experience of marketing tools for traditional publications, social media and “E Tapestry” system.
*Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with administrators, staff, volunteers, and the public is essential.
*Campaign strategies and volunteer staffing desirable.

*Work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends; maintain entrepreneurial, high standards, self-motivation, flexibility, ingenuity, dedication, enthusiasm; maintain commitment to the highest standards of customer service and professionalism.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule & Salary is commensurate with knowledge, skills, and experience.
