If you enjoy working in a cube farm, this is the place for you. Senior staff treated new hires like idiots. Everyone listens to your phone calls. Horrible management.

Stable employer. Fully funded by its 262,000 members with a budget of approximately $88 million dollars per year.
Manager of Staff & Building Services (Former Employee) –  180 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA 94105May 27, 2011
The State Bar is a quasi-state agency. It does not receive any money from the State of California, it is fully funded by the attorney members. The Bar offers comprehensive benefits and pays well. Interestingly, there are several labor unions that represent the majority of the employees, even the attorneys. Salaries are competitive with the State of California Attorney General's office. Work hours are usually 8:30am to 5:30pm with a full hour for lunch.
