A typical day at work consists of you coming to work, seeing the boss and asking what toy you're on for the day, and go box it out for 12 hours. I learned how to trim plastic and assemble toys. The management was good and bad. There are a few awesome leads, but some are just horrible. Some will tell you something is an issue with quality, while others say its fine. So a lot of the time you're wondering if something should be boxed out or not if it has a small problem (slight discoloration, slight warping) In assembly about half of the workers there are foreign that speak little english, some were cool while others were lazy and irritating to work with. A lot of the time you will find people will not help you when they have time. The hardest part of the job and most frustrating is the varying difficulty of the lines, some lines are very easy where you box out 1-3 small things and have 5 minutes of free time, while other times you will be on a line that is almost impossible to keep up with. Another thing I didnt like was the 12 hour shifts. You basically go home and go to sleep and get ready for the next day. Which I thought I would like at first, but since you work as many days as you have off, its as if you can only be happy half of the time. The most enjoyable part of the job was going home, and payday.
