We are fortunate to have enjoyed considerable growth throughout our 75 years of business. Currently, we operate facilities located in several Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa communities. These satellite locations assist in the production, packaging, and shipping of retail gifts as well as servicing our customers' accounts.
There are three – more... main divisions in The Swiss Colony: Mail Order Food Gifts, Mail Order Non-Food Gifts, and Wholesale Food. In addition, the SC Data Center, Inc., provides the sophisticated computer system necessary to handle the vast amount of mail and telephone orders we receive each year.
More than 1,300 regular full-time people are employed year 'round at The Swiss Colony. However, during the holiday season, that number swells to more than 7,000, with the addition of temporary employees mainly in our Fulfillment and Call Center facilities.
Employees are eligible for discounts on Swiss Colony products in all our catalogs and designated retail stores. Shift premiums, wage increases based on hours worked, safety incentives, attendance incentives, and advancement opportunities within the company are also available. And, through initiatives like our SC2000 program, a positive work environment is actively pursued and maintained for all employees.
