The Tribeca Trib covers fast-growing Lower Manhattan, including Tribeca, Battery Park City, the Financial District and the Seaport/Civic Center area. Founded in 1994 by Carl Glassman and April Koral (Tribeca residents since 1979), the Trib is the longest continuously owned publication covering Lower Manhattan. In July 2015, the Trib published its last print edition and continues online with its web site, begun in 2002. The New York Times called the Trib "the newspaper that has long helped make a community out of the neighborhood" and over the years it has garnered many awards, including the National Newspaper Association's highest award, for General Excellence. In 2014, the New York Press Association named the online Trib Best Web Site in a statewide competition.
The Tribeca Trib is also the publisher of two illustrated books by Oliver E. Allen on the history of Tribeca: Tales of Old Tribeca and Tribeca: A Pictorial History. – less–ZoomInfo
