Immediate Part-time, benefit eligible position available at our New facility, The Urgency Room located in Eagan, MN. This position has a rotating schedule weekdays and every other weekend, 2 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
The Guest Coordinator role is primarily responsible for greeting patients and their families and providing an exceptional customer service experience for the patient throughout their visit. This position will also be responsible for obtaining demographic and billing information; patient co-pay collection and claim follow up.
Key Result Areas:
Greets and assists patients and families upon arrival and during wait time in the clinic. Provides constant communication to patients and families regarding wait time and status. Monitors patient satisfaction and works to ensure all service expectations have been met. Maintain a “concierge” feel of one-on-one staff/patient interaction before, during, and after their visit.
Facilitate post-visit services, including referral coordination (scheduling and follow-up) and general patient follow-up.
Registers patients. Obtains relevant demographic and insurance information from patient at bedside and enters into patient registration system. Validates insurance coverage. Obtains patient co-pays at time of service.
Financial Counseling of patients who have delinquent accounts or are uninsured.
Restocking of supplies in both clinical and non-clinical areas of the clinic throughout shift.
Clean up of waiting areas and restocking of refreshments as needed.
Performs other projects, work and activities as assigned to ensure continuous service excellence.
Education, Experience and Skills
The position requires a High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Hospitality and/or healthcare billing experience preferred – both skill sets a plus.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Strong ten-key and keyboarding skills. Must have sufficient computer skills to use, in a proficient
manner, all Company-issued software programs implemented at the UR
LANGUAGE SKILLS: must have developed language skills to the point to be able to:
Read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to speak effectively in English before groups such as customers or employees
