my experience with wackenhut had more con than pro situations,although i would be interested in working for the corp. again. the work responsibilities were clearly set out and explained,and, i was properly paid for hours worked with some minor flexibility in my schedule.

I didn't like the commute to this job. I hate to deal with inmates that were under the age of 18. Some were very violent offender who had committed arson, theft, and homicide. I had to make sure they kept to routines on daily basis.

Long hours in the plant and observing the property. I learned a lot about the makings of the nuclear plant and day to day operations. Management was not around to much but if you needed them you could always reach someone. My co-workers were great people to work with. Great company from the office staff to my immediate supervisors.

The pay is minimal wage. You can't make a living on what they offer you. There is no place for advancement. Wackenhut is always trying to BULLY you. Threat you any kind of way. Wackenhut always reward the bad employees,and misthreat the good employees. Over all the job sites are good to work for.

Low pay, but on par with this type of job. Boring, mostly sat around.

Working with the company in Fl and Boston gave me a better outlook about being a good Supervisor and leader.

Daily schedule of officers, review changes to post orders, client interaction on a daily basis.

If your looking to get a JOB FAST try your luck other than that Ill pass. I was informed it was a receoptionist JOB from the ad camoe to find out it was admin. minus Benifits not minus the headache.

I enjoyed working in security, and even if at times it was boring, I am a people people. I related with customer and clients very well. I enjoyed the stability in the field, and the management treated their staff well.

A typical day involved meeting and greeting customers, monitoring surroundings as well as incoming or outgoing traffic. The most enjoyable part would be the environment.

Working with people, co-workers, and management.
Learning about products, buildings, and safety.

at the time i worked there, NO BENEFITS. management was sorry and it was not a good company to work for.

Typical day at work consisted of signing people in and out of gated community. Checked deliveries and called residents about arriving guest. I learned how to run the front gate of a gated community and I did not have co-workers working with me. AT the time in 2005 it was good working for wackenhut it was good but not great.

ABSOLUTE...THE WORST EMPLOYERS!!!!!! THEY HAVE NO MORALITY AT ALL....... WORK AT YOUR OWN RISK

Working with Wackenhut Corporation was nice while I was in school. They are very helpful in working around your schedule. The company was great before they divided into G4S Security Solutions. Great life long experience with this company as well with many hands-on occasions. Management was not my thrilled expectation.
