Primary Therapist, Boynton Beach, FL - January 7, 2018
Many lay-offs this year and unexpected loss of contact with coworkers with no closure. A work day starts early due to getting to work before rush hour and often leaving after rush hour in the evenings. The therapeutic individual and family work was enjoyable for patients that want sobriety, yet many interventions due to low motivation by several patients and/or family members. The expectations in documentation can be overwhelming when there are too many patients to triage their needs, especially for those seeking to discharge early and hours of interventions, often unsuccessful. I enjoy most of the co-workers and the therapists are helpful, yet the workload is often overwhelming for the newer staff and it requires my support often without company acknowledgment.
