Overview of position:
This position is for a Facilities Specialist at a recording studio and office space in Oakland, CA. You will be responsible for making sure that all the facilities, maintenance, and office service functions operate effectively and efficiently. You will perform a variety of recurring tasks, such as ordering lunch and ordering office supplies, but you will also be in charge of larger, special space-related projects. You will have administrative duties like billing tenants and basic bookkeeping. Occasional tasks will include, event support, small repairs, and moving stuff around.
Who you are:
We're looking for a self-started who's loves getting things done and staying organized. Both good at planning and flexible enough to stay on top of anything that comes up. Able to build processes that make work easier and interested in doing the math to make good decisions. Comfortable working independently and with our team. Motivated and energetic. Some construction experience is preferable.

With a unique focus at the intersections of music, tech and art, we bring together an exciting mix of independent artists, producers, hackers, innovators and other interesting folks.
Tasks will include:
Managing a blend of some space we lease out plus space that's pretty flexible and where use changes frequently.
Dealing with vendors: repair and maintenance, HVAC, housekeeping, simple food service/catering, supplies, studio techs, gardeners.
Overseeing a small construction project if we need to reconfigure spaces or fix small problems.
Rent billing, collection, and deposit rent.
Keep facilities and office supplies stocked.
Keeping maintenance schedules.
Basic bookkeeper entry on Quickbooks or Xero
Job is part-time: 20-30hr/week
Compensation: Based on experience
