Core Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills: an ability to understand and develop employee benefit plan solutions based on data interpretation from both a clinical and financial perspective
  • A strategic mindset, understanding how broader business issues impact human resources needs of an organization
  • Excellent employee benefit program knowledge: funding methods, contract features, design strategies (e.g. defined contribution, HSA, wellness incentive programs), health care reform proficiency
  • An ability to recognize cross-selling opportunities within an existing block of business; including voluntary benefits, additional lines of coverage, and other insurance and consulting services
  • Team leadership skills: capacity to work well in a team environment, fostering cooperation and sense of purpose in achieving a common goal
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of empathy: the capacity to recognize, understand, and relate to the perspectives of clients and associates
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • CEBS or equivalent designation preferred

Job Requirements:

  • Provide both strategic and operational leadership for an established book of mid market clients. Each client is to receive a minimum of 4 in-person engagements (pre-renewal, renewal, stewardship reporting, and mid-year review)
  • Participate in sales presentations with lead producers, offering professional insight to the services of The Fedeli Group and technical issues within the employee benefits industry
  • Achieve a cross-sell production goal, determined annually, with the intent to enhance the service offerings to existing clients. Successful achievement can result in bonus compensation in excess of 20% of base salary

Specialty Skills:

In addition to the above requirements, one or more of the following specialty skills is highly desirable:

  • Advance level regulatory compliance skills
  • Experience in the implementation of human resources technology services
  • Expertise in the implementation of results based wellness programs with a thorough knowledge of the marketplace and regulatory developments
