Medical Technologist - Clinical Research Unit (Former Employee), Philadelphia, PA – April 28, 2012
I enjoyed working there. It was a serious but friendly environment to work. It can get really busy for a few hours at a time, which I really like. But the less busy times are there as well which I seemed boring to me. But overall I enjoyed being part of a team.
Fun Loving Hardworking environment with dedication to patient care continuity
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee), Philadelphia, PA – April 12, 2012
Pros: benefits, family feeling, treated to lunch often, weekly staff meetings, pay rate
Cons: overbooking of patients
A typical day at work for me at Thomas Jefferson Hospital is Scheduling and following up with patient appointments in our Neuropsychology Department using and internal scheduling system (IDX). I performed pre-certification for patient inpatient stays for monitoring. I kept record of which technicians were assigned to a specific patient. I made travel – more... plans for the two Neuropsychologist that I directly worked with and for. I learned that I am more resilliant that I thought and that I can create an environment where the patient and our facility could be equally happy. I really enjoyed the management as they were fair in handling any situations around the office. My co-workers were team-players and we accomplished a great deal pulling together on special task. The hardest part of the job were the times when I had to skip lunch because there was something more pertinent to tend to within the job. The most enjoyable part of the job was in dealing with the patients. I really enjoyed the end results and smiles and letters and/or words of thanks given to me. – less

Pros: great working enviroment
Cons: none at all
Working at Jefferson was by far the best place I[ve ever worked. They fostered a great learning enviroment, patient care was by far the best in the industry. It's working enviroment was a very professional enviroment and the Drs always made it a point to include all the staff in every aspect of patient care.
