Productive work group and good experience building.
Field Service Technician (Former Employee), Lombard, ILFebruary 6, 2014
Pros: traveling, meeting new people, working with equipment
Cons: work on holidays including christmas, lots of mandatory overtime
This was a great opportunity to build work experience in the field and develop good troubleshooting skills on various equipment. Work hours varied with shifts including: 6am-2pm, 9am-5pm, and 12pm-8pm, with overtime pending on call volume. I would begin each shift from home, having calls paged through a mobile application, and GPS assistance to travel – more... to each call. Each technician was responsible for maintaining the inventory of parts on their van by stopping at the local parts depot to pick up new parts and drop off bad. Reports were filed through a mobile application for each call, as well as a field report that was signed by each retailer when a call was finished, and a compilation weekly report covering calls and inventory that was due at the end of each work week. The most enjoyable part of the job for me was traveling all over northern Illinois from retailer to retailer, and maintaining relations with a variety of different store owners while servicing their equipment. – less

Cons: saw husband 24-7
I never missed a day of work. i enjoyed the challanges of running a sucessful practice. After starting a family we decided it would be best to replace myself with someone who could fill my shoes. I then took on the hardest job ever being a stay at home Mom aka "household engineer".

If I would now not be disabled I might still work there. I loved the people and the customers and talking with them whenever their yearly maintenance came about.

Hostess (Current Employee), Saskatoon, SKOctober 28, 2013
Pros: the people, understanding staff, great customers.
Cons: not very structured, no-shows, not enough staff, different languages
A typical day at work is I show people top their seats. I answer phones, take delivery and pickup orders.I help people with their problems, if they have any. I count and roll money. I cash-out at the end of my shift. I interact with customers. I collect money and give correct change. I book reservations. I sometimes open the lounge if needed. I take – more... orders and serve food if needed. I call people to work if someone is sick or is a no-show. I love everyone i work with and the managers are pretty good. There really isn't anything that is hard about the job. The most enjoyable part of the job is probably the people i work with and the people i meet. – less
