Does anybody know the background check process for Thomson Reuters for a job in California? I see a job posting that is similar to my current job that I am going to apply for. I have a felony conviction 12years ago. I heard that California only does checks going back 7years.

Would someone who worked for a company that was acquired by Thomson Reuters share the process the employees of your company went through during the transistion?
Specifically:
1. How was the H.R. process structured?
2. At what point did you sign on the dotted line to become a Thomson employee?
3. Did you lose, gain or maintain seniority, vacation, etc.?
4. Any other information you'd be willing to share.

I have been working at Thomson Reuters as an accounting contractor for several months and I may be joining them as a full-time "core" employee soon.
My question is, will I have to take another drug test going from the contractor role to the full time employee role? I took one and passed when I came on board as a contractor - just curious if I will be required to do another one.
