We are looking for a user experience professional who can help us achieve our goal: create a television viewing experience that is so easy, everyone in the household will love interacting with it. This role works closely with peers in Research, Marketing, Brand, Customer Support, and Product Management teams to define and design TiVo web pages and applications. We have a collaborative, team-oriented, consensus-building approach to design, and we believe in taking input and feedback from a wide variety of sources.
Here is what you'll get to do:
Work with business owners and project teams to fully understand requirements for new web pages, applications, and big-picture functionality
Create site maps, diagrams and other artifacts to reflect information architecture
Create and iterate UI designs, establishing and leveraging tivo.com user interface standards
Collaborate with project teams to refine the scope of your work based on business decisions, technical constraints, or time constraints
Provide UI specifications for approved designs to developers and project teams
Partner with User Research to test and refine your designs
Review completed development work to ensure all specifications have been implemented as intended
Here is what you'll need to be successful:
At least four years user-interface design experience and a proven track record designing successful consumer-focused web sites and/or applications
The ability to express “big picture” design ideas beyond the task at hand
Extreme detail orientation and an obsession for consistency
Clear, organized writing, communication, and presentation skills
Logical, analytical thinking
Reasonable understanding of underlying technical issues
An affinity for entertainment in multiple media
Mobile or embedded-system application design experience a plus
