Good technology but poor management and work culture

Good technology. However, they fell a bit behind the curve and were bought out by a private equity company.
Was run by founder using a nonexistent or feudal management structure that favors old timers. No meaningful performance management system. No raises or promotions. Poor communication from line managers to staff.

A lot is going on here. Never gets boring! There is always room for growth and improvement and folks are mostly willing to listen to one's ideas. The office itself is in a fun place in the Somerville location, however, it is moving to Boston within the next year
