Administrative Support Construction Division, Wharton, NJ - September 23, 2015
My day at work varied depending on the time of the month. Different portions of the month required certain task be taken. On a daily basis I received invoices for the Construction Department and coded them and passed on to AP for payment. Coded, checked and approved any expense reports for the job Supervisors. At the end of weeks Certified Payroll reports would be run. At the end of the month the Monthly Payroll reports would be run and filed online for the State of New Jersey. These reports were to show that Tilcon paid prevailing wage and that minority requirements were met on any jobs that were for the State, Municipality, or County. I also ordered office supplies for all quarries in NJ. Any job that was for the State of NJ and long term had on sight field offices in the area of the job. I was responsible for setting up these field offices and supplying them with whatever was needed for the number of State employees that would be assigned to that particular job. This included but not limited to having their computer and office machinery hooked up and running, being compatible with the States own programs, having water, coffee, refrigerator all furnishings, moved in and ready for an efficient office. I enjoyed a lot of my job functions. I had fun with co-workers which I feel was important. I am an independent worker and conscientious but I do feel that some time to laugh, time that an employer shows appreciation in employees and having ways of keeping moral up is extremely important to work production.
