As a former General Manager there is no work life balance at all. Typically, you will be at your store from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM during the week and on Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Be prepared if you are short staffed not to have any days off (except Sunday) and no lunches.

Report answer

Not when I was there. Even up to my last day there, I worked until 11pm. I was putting in an excessive amount of hours and working on my days off. Because I was a salaried employee, I did not receive over time pay and on the few occasions that I had a family emergency with my child or my own health, my Manager was not very understanding. I always felt I had to choose between my health or daughter's health and getting fired.
