FULL TIME ASSISTANT Community Director/Property Manager
Downtown San Diego

Immediate positions at sister low income SRO+/residential hotels--Peachtree Inn, 300 units and Trolley Court, 186 units in downtown San Diego, near Gaslamp Quarter.

Leases paid weekly or monthly and include furnished studio with utilities, HBO/cable, lobby WIFI, phone, housekeeping, 24/7 front desk.

Summary Description includes all management responsibilities to assist Community Director/Property Manager to oversee staff, residents and property but not limited to:

  • Provide for the security and safety of the residents and staff.
  • Identify, process and train new hires for the property.
  • Market and lease the property to maintain high occupancy--95%+
  • Review daily logs and reports to assure consistency of customer service and to account for all monies.
  • Oversee and manage leasing functions--application, collections, security deposits, delinquencies, evictions, compliance.
  • Oversee site improvements and maintenance
  • Work with management, local agencies/authorities and counsel and vendors on all related issues
  • Create and submit annual budget, weekly and monthly reports to management.
  • Resolve resident complaints and cover front desk when needed.
  • Direct, monitor, and supervise staff--24/7 front desk, maintenance, and housekeeping staff
  • Duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge and Skills:

  • A minimum of two to four years related experience in an SRO, Hotel/Motel, or apartment management, preferably 100+ units
  • At least one year experience successfully managing a team of employees.
  • Desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
  • Ability and desire to juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, AMSI or management software experience
  • High School Graduate, some college preferred
  • Fair Housing Education
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and computational skills.
  • Skills to supervise, direct, and instruct staff.
  • Friendly personable attitude.

Other:

  • Monday thru Friday work week mainly 8am-4:30 pm, available and on call 24/7
  • Live within 30 minutes of property, reliable transportation
  • Must maintain a professional appearance. Company logo shirts or informal professional. Appropriate shoes are required, no sandals. The only body piercing that is allowed is pierced ears, with two earrings per ear maximum. No visible tattoos will be allowed. Hair will be kept neat and clean.
