This place had so much potential. A very successful brick and mortar store, which saw a good internet presence ruined by greed and a lack of overall knowledge.
A decent business model, but completely ruined with the incompetence of upper management. The nepotism this place endured, from the unqualified "Director of eCommerce" who was more concerned with text layout on the website than backend issues that prevented dashes, to the HR person who didn't know basic labor laws, to the CEO who thought putting all items all 0% margin was a good idea.
The haves vs. The have nots here were the craziest I've ever seen. They spoke of "cutting costs, streamlining, etc.", then took golfing vacations, bought new vehicles, and received large bonuses, all while the company bled money and the staff were being let go. Going through 3 CFOs in less than a calendar year is not a sign of a strong company.
When the entire staff was laid off, the CEO didn't even have the guts to say anything. He walked in, saw what was happening, tucked his tail between his legs and left.
