Perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of incoming materials, parts and components used in manufacturing and assembly in a plant setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform inspections of purchased parts, sub-assemblies or finished company products according to well-defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/o electrical measurements.
Rework or reject products as required.
Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards.
Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing.
Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
Create and maintain Material Discrepancy Reports.
Handle material using floor jacks and/or crane operations.
Create inspection plan, if not available, under the supervision of engineer.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have good English written and verbal communication skills
Good arithmetic skills are required
Mechanical aptitude desired
2+ years Quality Control experience in Receiving Inspection is preferred
Working knowledge of measurement instruments: i.e., calipers, OD micrometers, ID micrometers, etc.
General proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Word
