National Research and Development center located in Pasadena, CA 91109 is looking for a Sr. HRIS Project Manager WITH NINE YEARS OF HR EXPERIENCE to join the Human Resources Information Systems Group. You will develop and design systems and process solutions to meet business needs and user requirements.

Responsibilities include

Analyze and create design concepts and architecture diagrams, plus functional/technical requirements as needed for Oracle development work including interfaces with other systems.
Work with internal customer organizations at all levels of management to understand technical and business processes, lead focus groups to determine requirements, present system concepts, demos, and provide implementation support.
Support analysis of system enhancements, maintenance, and upgrades for HR functional applications including interfaces to other business systems.
Support system problem identification and resolution, including requirements for and functional testing of code fixes.
Perform functional validation testing for Oracle upgrades and patch releases for HRMS modules.
Gather highly complex and critical requirements, analyzes, plans, designs, configures, tests, deploys, rolls out and maintains major enterprise software with significant impact.
Serve as key interface with customers to facilitate, negotiate and capture requirements for highly and critical complex enterprise applications; advises customer and management
Evaluate highly complex and critical new or existing enterprise information software or stand alone applications to align with institutional practices.
Modifiy sets up, and/or configure complex software that integrates with the enterprise suite of applications and/or stand alone applications.
Create highly complex and critical scripts-- SQL, etc.--for testing and reporting.
As a team leader, accountable for team results on multifunctional and/or multidisciplinary projects and assignments, including performance standards, budget and schedule.
Lead a multifunctional and/or multidisciplinary team for a project, activity, or function within scope of assigned responsibility.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Business Systems, HR or related field or related discipline with 9 years of related experience.
Wide-ranging experience and advanced knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Increased responsibility for business system design, functional requirements, and implementation of HR system/process improvements.
Detailed knowledge of capturing business process requirements leading to integrated system architecture and design. Working knowledge of system development lifecycle methods (SDLC), relational Oracle database concepts, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, requirements documentation.
Analysts with PeopleSoft experience will also be considered.
Significant knowledge of Human Resources Functions and processes, including demonstrated successful implementation of Human Resources system improvements.
Significant understanding of HR reporting and analytics design and implementation.
Demonstrated experience working with Oracle programmers to communicate requirements, in support of Oracle Patch & Upgrade testing, Oracle Interface functionality, documenting/testing bug fixes, and partnering on implementing both system fixes and enhancements.
Strong MS Office Suite skills (including Excel and PowerPoint), plus project scheduling tools.

Desired Skills

Extensive experience in designing, testing, and supporting Human Resource system solutions in an Oracle environment; Oracle 11i experience is particularly helpful.
Experience in implementing HR-related system improvements of this nature is an additional plus.
Demonstrated skill in successfully managing system development projects is a major plus.
