A great place to work and learn the trade of lineman.
Apprentice/Journeyman Lineman (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ONJanuary 10, 2018
worked 8 hours a day as a team.
I learned the trade of Lineman.
Management was on your side %100
In the early 80s the line trade seemed to have a team culture to them selves.
Learning the trade and becoming proficient at it.
The team atmosphere.
Pros
Excellent training, hockey teams and golf club.
Cons
No cons here. maybe the drive to work if any.

Great people and benefits but very flat so no growth
Senior Financial Analyst, Client Support (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ONNovember 7, 2017
Great place to work with wonderful employees, however if you are ambitious and want to move up the ladder, the organization is too flat. There are people that are dedicated and work hard, however it is hard to retain talented employees as they will leave to be able to see upward growth. Many staff are "lifers" so getting them to take on tasks outside their comfort zone can be difficult. Dynamic and fast paced employees will not last here long as they will get bored and move on.
Pros
Salary, benefits, and people
Cons
No growth

Okay for technical roles, not for business analysis
Business Analyst (Current Employee) –  14 CarltonJune 1, 2017
Business analysts are undervalued and much of the work you will be doing is not core business analysis so career development would be minimal. The plus is the good work/life balance as you are not expected to stay later than 5pm. Many of the people are also nice to talk to and helpful. If you are a BA though, you should not spend too much time in the company.
Pros
Good hours, benefits, people
Cons
No company culture, low career development

A 100+ year old company. Strong executive management and a collaborative work culture. The hardest part of the job is inability to innovate due to it being highly government regulated.

The job environment is very easy going. Constant flow of projects with reasonable deadlines. Management was always cooperative and always there to help. What I enjoyed most about the job was the variation in the different types of projects I worked on. Always something new to learn.
