Totally an awesome job!!!
Lead Baker (Former Employee), Melbourne, ARJuly 12, 2014
Pros: we really didn't have alot of management telling us what to do. we were reallly left on our own, but we kept the bakery department #1 in south arkanasa for 3 three years.
Cons: they went out of business
Small little grocery store, which doesn't exist anymore. The employees and customer were great. Small town where you knew what people wanted, when, and why. If someone was sick, we would send over soup that we made for lunch. If someone was going somewhere, prepacked lunch was ready for them before they called. All customer service oriented and it was – more... great!!!!! I learned how to ice, frost, decorate all types of cakes, cupcakes, cookies. Made Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas dinner for the town. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. – less

Fun workplace with family-like atmosphere
Cashier/Customer Service/Stocker (Current Employee), McAllen, TXJanuary 24, 2014
Pros: flexible hours, free to socialize
Cons: no official breaks, no raises
Working at this little mom-and-pop-shop was absolutely perfect for a full-time student. The hours were flexible and the boss was very understanding about finals schedules. Though customer service is not always easy to handle, fellow coworkers understood and were very supportive during stressful situations. We were free to socialize during our shifts, – more... which made working a lot of fun. – less

good job with a great buntch of people
office personal, scanning assistant, cashier (Former Employee), Halls, TNOctober 31, 2013
Pros: get days off that need, get a 25 hour vaction pay, good boss
Cons: will never be full time, only 28 hours a week, have to work most sundays
a typical day at the grocery store is answering the phone , helping customers find items and answering any questions they may have ,I manage a crew at night and some days , I stock ,run office , and do a lot of paper work concerning the store . I count down cash pans for the store , make deposits and drive them to the bank . I am a key holder at this – more... store I open and close it . I verify all monies that are taken to the bank and I verify our safe to make sure we maintain the correct amount in it at all times . I do western unions and money orders .I help where I am needed . the hardest part of this job is no full time and I will never have over 28 hours working there and it doesn't pay well enough for me to not look for a better paying job ,that is why I am still at the Bank of Halls ,the most enjoyable part of this job is I know everyone who works there , I have a lot of good friends who I work with and I love the customers . – less

Overall its a good place to work
Cashier (Current Employee), Piedmont, MOFebruary 27, 2013
A typical day at work is usually pretty busy. The number one thing to remember is that its all about the customers and their needs. I've learned to be patient and courteous when dealing with customers. The hardest part about the job is dealing with those customers that are rude but thats just part of it. The most enjoyable part of the job is the people – more... I work with . They make my job fun and enjoyable. – less

Never a full time career choice
Labourer (Former Employee), Nottingham, ENGOctober 16, 2013
Town & Country poached me from an agency on a site in Windsor. It was never to be a permenent job; I never went to the head office or even knew where it was.

Saying that they were decent lads to work for and if there hjad been a full time job for me (which there never was going to be) I would have jumped at the chance

building stages
labourer/rigger (Former Employee), Auckland, NJune 15, 2013
Pros: gaining confidence to climb 16+meters with a great tutor/worker
Cons: not having the rest of the workers be keen to work at the same level as you sometimes
most our days with town and country start off with the group getting to the venue and the boss telling us a joke of some sort.then we get the measurements of how big the employer wants the stage then mark out.most times we hand ball the gear off the truck which tends to get heavy when theres only 3 people haha.the hardest part of the job would have – more... to be marking out on uneven ground.the most enjoyable part of the day is looking at the finished product then going to build the next 1. – less
