Great company. Its a sales job so you get what you put into it. I was always treated well there and it has a cool start up vibe even though it is a growing company.

Work Hard- Get Promoted
Account Executive (Current Employee) –  Charlotte, NCAugust 7, 2017
This company rewards hardwork, and takes the employees voice into consideration on all decisions that are made. They got rid of sales quotas so their sales reps could focus on developing themselves and making a lot of money while doing it! Don't be mistaken, the job is not easy! But, with the right attitude and work ethic, anyone can come in here and grow very quickly while making a lot of money!
Pros
Everyone here cares about each other and wants to see everyone succeed.

If I could have started my sales career here I would have. You will learn how to succeed in sales regardless of where your career takes you. The ongoing training and coaching are invaluable services that most business would pay to have a contractor come in and perform.

Good if your just getting your feet wet
Account Executive (Current Employee) –  Charlotte, NCJuly 26, 2017
If your coming out of college this would be a good choice. In terms of a long term current, TSI wouldn't be my first choice. Don't want to throw too much shade because middle management does everything they can but at the end of the day, its not going to be a long term career choice.
Pros
people try to help you

benefits and pay, pressure and stress that comes from the top down

Good Job, Not a career
Strategic Sales Executive (Current Employee) –  Charlotte, NCJune 19, 2017
They come across like a boiler room. Play a lot of games. Sell against a direct competitor. Great place to start out, but not build a career. Avg salary, but nothing to get excited about

Great Coworkers. Inexperienced & young management
Digital Marketing Specialist (Current Employee) –  Charlotte, NCFebruary 24, 2017
The HR department does am amazing job of bringing in talented people. Management is not the best at keeping them around.

Be warned however that, as an hourly employee in any role at Townsquare, you will not get paid overtime alrhough you will work plenty of overtime hours.

You will also need to be slightly agressive with clients calling in to cancel & good at giving the run around to clients.

With books of business more then 250 clients deep, its no suprise that not all clients get the attention they deserve.
Pros
Great coworkers
Cons
Micro managed

Senior Agency Sales Executive (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCDecember 29, 2016
This job will take away your life if you want to succeed. Cold calling all day, everyday. Selling over the phone/computer demonstrations. Managers will push you out of you have 3 bad months in a row. It's easier to replace you as a worker than to continue to develop you to succeed long term. They will burn you out until you have nothing left to give.

Sales Executive (Current Employee) –  Charlotte, NCNovember 26, 2016
This is nothing more than a filler job, not a career based company.
everyone is right on top of one another, the desk size is barely enough to hold a computer and pad of paper. the office is loud and not very HR friendly.
Pros
Fun in a wolf of wall street way
Cons
Loud, Obnoxious, and no leadership tract

Keep looking, don't waste your time here
Marketing Manager (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCOctober 27, 2016
I actually was looking for a topics to rate them hhighe, but all around this company is just vindictive and bad for businesses. They have just repackaged a decent companies product, because they have a "relationship" with Yext. Your better off working direct. The reputation "monitoring" is no great way to be ahead of problems. If your a company that beginning to get frustrated, I hope you saved up your energy. There whole program is designed to wear the customer down by talking to several people, before coming to the same conclusion every time - well it seems like we have been doing some work for you, so we're not going to refund, credit or change anything about how you've been treated - sound familiar to anyone?!
Pros
Great job on making it look like they do stuff for you, with all the monitoring reports.
Cons
As soon as your dinner with this service, any gains dissolve. There is no long lasting effects, that keep working for you.

Good Place To Work
Sales Development Representative (Current Employee) –  Charlotte, NCSeptember 22, 2016
I like this place, but I find sales not to be for me. Had it been another job where I would be doing other office work, I would love to keep the job. I like helping people, and this is what this job is about. You are also learning to find yourself.

High Pressure, not recommended.
Inside Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCSeptember 9, 2016
This is the type of sales organization that is high pressure, very stressful and where they encourage abusing the customer on the phone to close a sale. If you can't close them in one call, it's over. So say and do anything you need to get the sale and if not who cares because there are always more people out there.

I didn't feel right working here at all and unless this is your first job and you need the experience steer clear.
Pros
Sometimes free lunch if you work through it.
Cons
Stress, High Pressure, Very Metrics Driven

Not a good place to work.
Account Executive (Current Employee) –  Buffalo, NYAugust 31, 2016
Management is very unkind to employees. Seems like this attitude comes directly from corporate. The CEO is an extreme narcissist who is not even a true broadcaster. The company loves to grind people down in every department, from sales to on-air.

Overall inexperienced staff!
Account Manager (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCMay 5, 2016
They bring in entry level people who have no idea how to sell. They won't invest in people who actually have experience in the sales field. Training is an absolute joke, and this is basically a glorified telemarketing job. Very low level management which has an adverse affect on overall outcome of employee success.

outside sales representative (Former Employee) –  Evansville, INJanuary 24, 2016
Do not care about their employees, only care about numbers. Do not waste your time. If you will notice all good review are from their corporate office in Charlotte, NC. This is ONLY to work the numbers in their favor. MOVE onto a company that cares... Trust me!
Pros
Pay plan sounds good
Cons
Pay plan is not what they tell you it is....
