The company manages a portfolio of more than 1,100 office, health care, retail, industrial, education, and multifamily residential properties comprising more than 255 million sq. ft. of space. Its services include agency leasing, property management, tenant representation, and property development services, as well as financing and advising to institutional investors. Chairman Robert Duncan founded Transwestern in 1978. The company has offices in some 30 cities throughout the US.
Transwestern has grown by new developments, by entering new markets, and through acquisitions. In 2011 it established a new division that focuses on the Northeast and opened offices in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
