Corporate Travel Agent, please do not respond unless you have three-five years experience of corporate travel agent expeience
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
Travel Agent will make professional, accurate, cost-effective travel arrangements for all clients within company guidelines and standards for excellent customer service.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
1.Travel Agent will complete travel arrangements for client for air, hotel, car, tour, cruise and ground transportation vendors at the lowest possible fares. Utilize preferred vendors to maximize profit.
2.Travel Agent will follow company procedures, guidelines and standards in the areas of customer service, building Passenger Name Records (PNRs) and profiles, ticketing, utilization of front room Computer Reservations System (CRS) productivity, attendance, accuracy of work, invoicing, etc. Keep abreast of enhancements and updates.
3.Travel Agent will participate fully as a team member to assist as needed in completing all functions related to servicing the client, including ticket processing, clerical functions, prepaid tickets, debit memos, etc.
4.Travel Agent will research and provide solutions to travel-related problems clients may have experienced with arrangements provided to them
5. Travel Agent is fully informed and stays abreast of all airline rules and regulations, tariffs (domestic and some international) and other industry requirements and accurately applies this information when making travel arrangements
6.Travel Agent will work with team members to cross train in all areas team is responsible for including accounting related functions, international reservations, prepaid tickets, etc.
7.Travel Agent will be expected to maintain a high level of competency in operating the CRS
8.Travel Agent will keep supervisor promptly and fully informed of all matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action which may be taken
9.Travel Agent will perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED
Travel agent must have a high school education, completion of an accredited travel school program and 3-5 years corportae travel agent experience. Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of travel industry including proficiency in all CRS systems, ticketing procedures for air travel, hotel booking and car rental requirements. Three years of previous customer service skills and/or call center experience required. Proficient on a Windows platform simultaneously operating multiple applications. Minimum of three years travel agency experience required and ability to meet and maintain performance standards defined for Sr. Travel Consultants.
