It was good having such a great opportunity to work with Travelers. Great benefits and wonderful people.

I wished I could stay longer if it had not been on contract basis. The work environment was excellent.

Auto Insurance Claim Adjuster (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNFebruary 1, 2018
This was a good place to work, and learn entry level about teh insurance industry. They have good benefits, reasonable pay, and plenty of advancement opportunities. Relocation to another region is possible, due to being such a large, nationwide company.

Pay for performance
Claim Rep, Outside Property (Current Employee) –  Birmingham, ALFebruary 1, 2018
Travelers is heavily driven by metrics and data analytics. If you are a hard worker, and alble to focus on meeting goals, Travelers can be an awesome place to work. You'll have all the paid time off that anyone would ever need, 401k with company match, Stock purchase plan, and a pension with 3 year vesting. Travelers pays tops in the insurance industry but does expect productivity and high quality work.
Pros
Time Off, No micro-managing, pay for performance, 401K, pension, bonuses
Cons
Heavy workload and sometimes stressful trying to meet metrics

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Knoxville, TNJanuary 30, 2018
The customer care role was fast paced and dealt with in bound customer care calls. Management was very involved in the success and development of the employees on their teams. The culture was very accepting and inclusive. The hardest part of the job was navigating the system and huge amount of reference material. The most enjoyable part of the job was the staff.
Pros
Great staff, benefits, and culture
Cons
Difficult to advance, Service Levels

No Respect
Claims Professional (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXJanuary 28, 2018
They do not care about the employees. They find ways to not fairly pay employees. It's like working under a communist regime. They are big in favoritism. They are heavy in stereotyping. If you are female and you are young and sexy, you get to be promoted quickly. If you are old and have been with the company for many years, regardless if you maintain to still be engage in your job while at work, they will find a way to terminate you. They are not fair.
Pros
a job
Cons
No respect. Do not care of employees. Favoritism. Stereotyping.

Customer Service Representative / Claim Analyst (Former Employee) –  Buffalo, NYJanuary 23, 2018
When I first started working here I enjoyed it then things changed in the business and not much room for advancement. If you knew a lot and could answer most questions asked by co-workers you were given every reason why you where not selected for another/higher position.
