Position Requirements: Ability to multitask; Ability to work independently as well as within a team is essential; High comfort level with software and willingness to explore advanced features and customizable areas; Detail oriented and demonstrated ability to follow tasks through to completion. Specific tasks may include collecting data and data entry. Support HR in the areas of Compensation, Benefits and Hiring. Provides administrative and computer support and assists with the coordination and administration of major functions related to Human Resources. Advanced skills in Excel. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain information to diverse groups. Ability to align HR strategies, pay practices and benefits with mission, values and business objectives. Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. Ability to work with all levels of staff and volunteers. Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work enthusiastically within constantly changing priorities.
General Skills & Abilities: Excellent word processing skills; prefer experience with database management and excel; ability to effectively multi-task; strong public relations and interpersonal skills, ability to understand, articulate and enforce YMCA policies and procedures in a positive manner. High degree of confidentiality. Demonstrated skills in time management, flexibility, organization and independent work proficiency. Excellent computer skills required. Must have Associates degree - Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in field or related area.
Other Information: HR Technician is a full-time position with medical, dental, membership and other voluntary benefits. Schedule varies and may include some weekend and evening hours.
