Working at Treasury, Internal Revenue Service (IRS)

  • currym58@yahoo.com in Bridgeport, Connecticut 19 months ago
I worked for IRS 20 plus years ago. I held the position of Clerk(GS 5). I worked in small case and large case units in Bloomfield and Paterson, NJ. I left because IRS moved from Paterson but years later returned. I want to know if I can go to an OPM office and apply as I did years ago in Newark, NJ or how can I apply. I really want to get back into the Government but cannot get any help around here and really don't want to move.

I would like to know if the IRS hires people who have past misdemeanors. I know I have the qualifications for some of their positions but since I have a prior misdemeanor conviction, (I am waiting for a pardon) I don't want to waste my time nor theirs. I would thank anyone who can assist me with this doubt.
